Before anything else I would like to thank IC DeaDPiPoL for giving us a link for this post.
NCsoft terminated the contract with IAM Interactive and with that all players are advised to use ALL their remaining iCOINs immediately as services for the two games of IAM Interactive through IAM wallet will be suspended after 3o days. If we recall IAM Interactive was granted by NCsoft Corporation the right to publish, distribute, and transmit Lineage II and Exteel® in the Philippines.
The announcement made at the IAM Interactive was surprising and I’m sure many hardcore Lineage II and Exteel gamers can’t believe this happened that soon. This is bad to start New Year.
Check IAM website for the very short announcement. I hope nobody is playing with their front page.

I sure do hope that a bigger company would handle Exteel, such as LevelUp or Gameclub. They have way more advertising. Exteel probably only has a thousand players. And yet, It’s probably the most awesome Third person shooting game!

I’d like to post an update:
Around December 24, 2009 the game servers appears to have shutdown as the gameguard validation checks fail to contact the servers. Currently as of Dec 27,2009 access is still down.
In addition the forums were also put down since December 22 so communication between players and company representative is gone.
So much for using the iCoins for 30 days.
IMO the company was pretty much a marketing failure due to the lack of game cards distribution (still no sight of a prepaid card months after the CBT release), sole dependency on loadcentral for purchases, and finding the game installed in a internet & gaming cafe/shop is extremely difficult.
On the good side this can make a good case study or reference for upcoming game service providers
Only thing left IMO is their AMDG website & their Facebook page

When Exteel came out we have couple of Exteel gamers playing at our ICafe but eventually these gamers stop playing the game which I don’t know their reasons.
Sometimes its better to go straight to the Global server and global In-game currency to avoid such immediate shutting down of the services. Though in reality Online games always have an expiration date but that soon is not always acceptable.

So disappointed because of the news that the contract with NCsoft has been terminated, i am a hard core gamer of Lineage2 because of the graphics and gameplay, i cost me allot of PHP for the load and time. damn if they told us earlier that they can not maintain this game what the hell i should have stop playing it.

I quit L2SEA since march 2008, the reason is after graduating from college, I don’t have money to buy load..haha, after getting a job, I wasn’t able to return to L2SEA because me and my friend returned to playing another online game. But I still have connections to my friends in L2SEA. We still talk in the message board of our clan in aria.
After months of not being able to visit our board, I was surprised to see the announcement that L2SEA closed its servers and even their forums.
I feel sorry for my friends who played L2SEA until AMDG announced the closing of its servers. Even I suddenly remembered my characters in L2SEA and the fun my friends, clan mates and I have when I was still playing L2.

This is what happens when a distributor of video games think they know and can handle the nuances and requirements of running an online game, much more a tripa A game at that. They move too slow, react too slow to player demands. They hear players but don’t listen. Management is incompetent and don’t really give two shits about the game or the customer.
Also when they lie about their research just so they can close a deal with NCSOFT.

Maybe one day there should be a Law to protect online gamers that requires Game Publishers to atleast compensate gamers when they decide to close shops. I believe our game character/s can be considered an investment or properties.

*sigh* Why did they chose a pathetic company? I mean, didn’t NCSoft,like googled the top game companies in countries which they will allow for publication,advertising,etc? Well,In my opinion,It’s both the companies fault. Well it’s mostly in IAM Interactive fault anyway. NCSoft should have used more time searching for good game companis like LevelUp (I am a true Grand Chase and Ragnarok addict!) or E-Games (Also a hardcore RAN Online player) These two companies could have skyrocketed Exteel into the Philippines,and who knows? If one of these two companies got a hold of this game…Philippines is,maybe,participating in an Exteel World Tournament or something!

guys don’t ever wish LEVELUP will save L2 SEA and EXTEEL.. not a good company… if you can still remember the GMs of that company all corrupt, and got favoritism no professionalism at all. since i didnt find any games better than L2 or at least like L2… i started playing in private server while waiting for L2 to go back or at least waiting for NCSOFT to release lineage 3 SEA servers in 2011. as with IAM INTERACTIVE, is really a total failure… even their product manager dont know what is L2 and dont play any of the games they’re selling. in short, wala syang alam. and yes the top management got corrupt officials. monthly guarantee fee of Lineage II is 10 million pesos per month as far as i know. if gamers of this game wanted this game to revive better petition it to a company that can pay that big amount every month. hehehehee. but i dont think philippine gaming companies can handle that maybe other countries like singapore can afford. mind you, NCSOFT also got poor customer service as well. NCSOFT + AMDG = total bankcrupt. well my advise is just play other online games or if you are a loyal l2 gamer go play private server coz there are servers that have retail like xp.

i already know the game is closing but the problem was the company didnt made the announcement earlier. maybe they were thinking that players will all quit so they just made a surprise announcement but didnt turned out to be a happy surprise to gamers. it was really a big insult especially to those who have spent a lot of MONEY for real money trade of in game items. but not too harsh to those gamers who just enjoyed playing it without spending a lot.. still spent money but for gametime cards alone not with those in game items.. they are just virtual items… well, to those people who engaged in RMT next time don’t do it on other online games coz we are never sure when the games will shut down. no game is permanent. all of them got their own time. some too soon some later. that’s all

No matter how many games I play in “heroes of newerth”, I still miss those metal clashing sounds in exteel,lol…..This game is different than other MMORPG games out there and I’m still wishing it would be back this year…I even tried to register at US exteel but can’t access it(says “not available in your regin”).
If only other Online gaming company can see that there are sooo MANY people in here and even in other blogs (like the thread in waukster.com)who are wishing for exteel to be back even if we start from the beginning……JUST BRING IT BACK pls!!!

I tried exteel b4 when it was released.I tot this game will have lots of players and have a really good future.Who knew afew years later this game is SHUTtinG down.Many of u guys are veri unhappy thats true.Maybe,just maybe some company will take over this games exteel and lineage 2.Meanwhile just find some game and kill time.Im really a fan of grandchase.

Were still not losing hope for this game to come back in the Philippines.. I’m calling on all lineage 2 gamers to make a blog about lineage 2 SEA coming back in PH.. I’ve played a lot of online games in my life and this game is the best online game that I ever played in world. Help me in spreading this to the hundreds and thousands of lineage 2 gamers in the Philippines.. We can do this and bring back this wonderful game in PH. Spread the word so that NCSoft Corporation will hear us and tell them how we loved this game since the start..
